Sales terms and conditions  

Ordering policy


After making an order you will receive a confirmation email from Makeup-FX about the order status and payment information within a day. We try to keep our inventory up to date in the shop but sometimes it is not 100% accurate. We will inform you if an item you ordered is in stock, on order or out of stock. If it is not in stock you will have the option to either cancel your order or have it shipped when the product is available. 

We will also provide customers who have ordered a custom hairline wig with an expected delivery time. And in cases when we can't deliver a custom made article within that time the option to cancel the order with no fee is then given.

All products from the Makeup-FX shop must be pre-paid in full before any work or deliveries are made. The payments must be made with a credit card through PayPal or through bank transfers to our Swedish bank. Any company with a long-term relationship with Makeup-FX will be able to buy things with 30 days credit.
The decision on who gets this credit is completely at the discretion of Makeup-FX. 
If you order with a bank transfer option we will not start styling or shipping your products until the bank transfer has cleared.

Delivery policy

An expected delivery date is always provided and the number of days for delivery is in the order form. Before any payment takes place and when the payment is made, the customer accepts the expected date as a deadline.

This rule does not apply if the reasons for delay are out of Makeup-FX's hands. This could be because of the postal services failure to deliver, natural disasters, war, pandemics, failure of third parties to deliver or similar circumstances.

Most deliveries from Makeup-FX are done with insured, registered mail using the Swedish postal service, DHL Freight and DHL Express.

Shipments with a value less than 600 kr can be sent cheaper but not traceable if the customer asks for it. In these cases, Makeup-FX takes no responsibility for the loss of shipments. The customer will have to claim the loss from the Swedish post without Makeup-FX's involvement.
We can’t offer this to countries outside of the EU as a new law says that all international shipments needs to be sent with a tracking number.

A tracking number for these shipments will be provided to you once the parcel has been sent. You can find it in your account under “Order history”.

No claim for expenses or losses on the customer’s side can be made towards Makeup-FX if a parcel is delayed.
The shipping companies are responsible for lost shipments and insurance claims will be made by Makeup-FX in case of a lost shipment. When the shipment is confirmed lost by the shipping company a full refund or the option to be sent new products will be given to the customer.

Refunds will be made first after the shipping company has accepted and paid Makeup-FX for the lost shipment. 
Makeup-FX cannot be held responsible for deliveries that cannot be made due to a faulty address which has been provided by the customer. 

If the customer fails to pick up the parcel from the delivery company and it is returned to Makeup-FX, we will only re-deliver it if the customer pays for the new shipping fee and possible return fee. If the customer does not wish to do this the product is reclaimed into Makeup-FX's possession with no right to refund for the customer.

Return policy

Makeup-FX have a very strict return policy on hair products!!
The only thing that we take returns on are hairpieces that have been sealed by Makeup-FX and comes straight out of our stock. This means carefully looking at the product and not testing it out on a person’s head. In other words, have not been changed, brushed, styled, cut, dyed, or been worn.

Due to hygienic reasons we do not take any returns on a product that has been worn. Wigs and other hairpieces can be sealed on demand so they can be handled but cannot be worn. This seal is not made unless you ask for it in the comments box of the order form.

If you have ordered a wig, moustache or beard to be styled and cut; it cannot be returned as the original product has been changed. We do not take returns on wigs with custom hairlines or special orders as these have been made to fit the customer and will not fit anyone else. This fact makes the measuring process and the copying of the hairline especially important to guarantee that you will be happy with your wig. 
Take your time and do it properly, or else the wig won't fit.

We follow the Swedish law of distance shopping (Distanskopslagen) of 14 days right to return a sealed unchanged product from our stock, but in all other cases when a product is un-sealed or is combined with a service (styling or changes) we do not take any returns. You will always get to see your styled hairpieces on a picture before we even send it to you. This is the time when we can adjust.
We will not send the styled pieces until we get your approval.

If you are unsure about the color you want, then we recommend that you order the products sealed and un-styled or order a hair colour sample from us.

colour chart page for more info on colour samples. If the colour is what you want, you can return the product to us to be styled. 

If you are unsure about the front lace material in the wigs or other hairpieces suiting your demands, then you can order a sample of the lace to see if it fits yours. No returns will be accepted because the lace did not fulfil your requirements, unless a sample was ordered first.

Return authorization is always required. After issuing you a return authorization, the product must be received back to us within 10 days (20 days for outside the EU) for our inspection. Return freight charges for the returned product are to be pre-paid by you (collect shipments will be refused). Products returned without return authorization will be returned to the customer at their expense. If the product is refused, Makeup-FX will retain property of the product and no credit, refund or exchange will be issued to the customer. 

Products that have been returned for inspection and are denied for any of the reasons above by Makeup-FX will be returned to the customer after shipping has been prepaid to Makeup-FX. If prepayment of the return shipping is not made within 14 days then Makeup-FX will retain ownership of the product and no credit, refund or exchange will be issued to the customer. 

The shipping costs (both ways) is always at the expense of the customer and will not be refunded.

Defective products return

All styled or changed products from Makeup-FX are photographed and filed before delivery to avoid conflicts about the quality of a product. On demand, these pictures can be sent to the customer.

Small holes in the lace (up to 4 threads wide) is normal due to the way things are produced and does not qualify as a defect. Bigger holes (more than 4 threads wide) further than 2.5 cm / 1 inch away from the hairline on a wig and 0.4 cm / 1/5 inch on a moustache or beard is also considered to be normal.

We recommend that you inspect the products you order upon receipt. 
In the event you receive any products you feel is defective or is incorrect due to our error, you must notify Makeup-FX within three days of delivery for any replacement exchange to be considered. 

Return authorization is always required. After issuing you a return authorization, the defective or incorrect product then must be received back to us within 10 days (20 days for outside the EU) for our inspection.
Return freight charges for the defective or incorrect product are to be pre-paid by you (collect shipments will be refused). If the product is accepted as faulty by us the shipment will be credited back to you.

Products returned without return authorization will be returned to the customer at their expense. These returns should be pre-paid to Makeup-FX. If pre-payment for return is refused, Makeup-FX will retain property of the product and no credit, refund or exchange will be issued to the customer. 

Products found to be defective or that was incorrect due to our error will be exchanged at no charge (includes a refund of your return shipping costs). 
IMPORTANT: Products determined to have been damaged because of customer damage, misuse or excessive treatment will NOT be exchanged or refunded. It will be returned to the customer at the customers expense.

A defective or incorrect product will only be exchanged for the identical or correct product originally ordered and no refunds or credits will be issued. 
No claims for expenses or losses on the customers side can be made towards Makeup-FX because of defective or incorrect deliveries regardless of reason.

VAT policy

We charge:
25% VAT to all private customers within the EU,
0% VAT to EU VAT number holders
0% VAT to anyone outside of the EU.


To avoid any possible tax problems for us we will always charge VAT to your billing address and not to the delivery address.
This means that if you are Swedish but order things to be shipped outside the EU or to an EU VAT company we will still charge you Swedish VAT.
If this would cause a tax problem for you then please order with a billing address in the country you currently are.


Privacy policy

Makeup-FX is committed to keeping your personal information private and secure. We do not sell, rent, exchange, share or give any of the information to any other party that you supply us when placing an order, sending us an e-mail, or calling us. 

All personal information you share with us is held solely by Makeup-FX and is used to process your order or responding back to your question, comment, or request.

Occasionally, we may notify you of a special promotion we are having.  Any promotion notice would be generated and sent out solely from Makeup-FX. 
If at any time you do not wish to receive such notices, simply email or call us requesting not to be notified of any of these in the future.
